I Cor 13:1-6
txt vs. 6b Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
Charity--A Godly love—Love that is just like God’s love for us.
God wants you to understand the love that He has for you. God wants you to understand Godly love, and in order to understand Godly love you must know the truth of God’s love. The more you understand what truth is the more you will understand God’s love. The more you understand God’s love for you the more you will love Him back. 1Jo 4:19 We love him, because he first loved us.
1Jo 3:16a Hereby perceive we the love of God,…
Perceive--To discern; distinguish; observe; see; feel; know; understand. To perceive a thing is to know or to learn with certainty something, as it is presented to the senses or the intellect. We perceive that which is clear or obvious. We perceive light, darkness, colors, or the truth or falsehood of anything.
God is saying that we can know the love of God, just like we know daylight or night.
It’s obvious to us when it is daylight and it’s obvious to us when it is night. God wants His love to be obvious to us and God wants our love for God and others to be obvious also.
We can know how much God loves us by the things that He has done for us. We know the things that He has done for us, by reading, studying, and exercising the truth. What is the truth? The Word of God. John 17:17 ¶ Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

Matthew 12:33-37
Text Vs.Mt 12:37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.
Words are powerful things. By your words anyone can determine what you believe, what your goals in life are, and what is in your heart. Mt 15:18 But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart;… The words that flow off your tongue are dangerous at times and can do great harm to yourself and others. Jas 3:7 For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind: 8 But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. 9 Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God.
10a Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. The tongue is the spewer of filthy language, the gossiper in the hallway, the false religion teacher, the greedy politician, or it can the kind word speaker, the comforter at the hospital, the mother and father who tries to steer their children right, the cheerful Sunday School teacher, or the Bible believing preacher. It can be both evil and good but I want to remind you that, according to the passage of scripture we have read today, your words will determine whether you enter the pearly gate of heaven or be cast into an everlasting lake of fire. You will either curse yourself forever for what you have said or thank God for eternity for the words you had the sense enough to utter.
